隋兆旭
我是隋兆旭，是宾州州立大学地理系的一名博士候选人。同时，我也是系内地理图像实验室 （GeoGraphics Lab)的一名制图师。
我的主要研究兴趣是嵌入文化，技术，和程序性之中的制图设计，以及制图方法如何在时代中不断变迁。我的博士论文论题是如何制作生动的地图设计，以及验证这些设计是否影响读者注意力，情绪和可读性，以及对读者的劝说作用。在我博士课题之外，我也对数字人文，地名学，人工智能，原住民地图学，和政治地理学感兴趣。我十分热衷于探索世界各地的制图文化，理解地图作为表征与本体工具影响政治和文化内涵的重要作用。
作为制图师，我喜欢使用ArcGIS, Mapbox, Adobe Suites, Blender, Procreate, 和手绘等方法制作一般参考地图。
我在明尼苏达大学双城校区地理系获得了B.S. 本科学位，并辅修了人口研究，跨学科设计和地理信息科学。之后，我在俄勒冈大学地理系获得了M.S. 硕士学位。在俄勒冈大学，我完成了关于萨哈林岛附近地图领土描绘的硕士论文。
